Beaches
With over 150km of golden sands, in Fuerteventura you are spoilt for choice. Just a 15 minutes’ walk from our villa is a long stretch of golden sandy beach, perfect for sunbathing, swimming or just dipping toes. The nearest beach is in front of the Atlantico Centre and Sheraton Hotel.
A relaxing stroll from Atlantico, along the promenade to the marina, you will discover the sandy beach of Caleta de Fuste with sunlounges and parasols for hire. These beaches are man-made and hence, safe for all ages. Excellent eateries by the marina and other facilities including pedalos, windsurfing, jet ski, sailing, catamaran trips and even a submarine offering undersea excursions. For deep sea diving enthusiasts, there is a diving school past the marina, where you can start with trial lessons and move to certification. The promenade continues further till new Antiqua, a most therapeutic walk and may catch the meerkats on route.
A bit further out, pass the airport, Playas Blanca is a natural beach with stunning waves. Best for surfing and with coloured flags to indicate swimming safety. Rosario recently had a man-made beach.
In the North (Corralejo) and the South (Morro Jable) have stunning beaches. On route to Corralejo, you will come across beaches by the Dunes.
The west coast has most beautiful scenery for picture perfect holiday snaps though not swimming as the waters are rough.
